Exhaustion Sets In...Creativity Overwhelms

I'm so tired. I mean, I'm exhausted. My body has had it with me. I'm so glad it's Friday because that means tomorrow my wonderful husband will not wake me up until at least noon. I NEVER used to sleep that late, but since the Sjogrens, well, it happens...but that's not what this is about. My body is tired, but my mind is a-wired! I have so many ideas, so many goals...you see, my dream is about to come true and all I want to do is get on with it...I want to fast forward, make it all happen yesterday, and live in the moment of success. But that's not what creating is about. Creating is about the feeling of success whilst you are creating, right? I think I need to get up tomorrow and do a little creating; let my mind go, let my hands and sparkles and pretties take over and just ...create. Perhaps then my mind will finally rest a little too.

I've Got a Secret...

that I wish I could share, but I can't! Hopefully soon! But my dreams might be coming true and I'm such a lucky lucky girl.

Today I listened to a great PodCast, the CraftyPod. http://www.craftypod.com/ I love Sister Diane she's awesome! But she mentioned a website I must share called http://www.dudecraft.com/ Her interview with the owner of Dudecraft was awesome, mostly discussing a post he had made about how we are always trying to sell our stuff and not SHARE our stuff or TEACH or just GIVE. I really liked that. So, I plan on sharing something today that I learned, how's that?

Want to learn how to make a handmade canvas tag? They are GORGEOUS and can be made vintage or funky or any style you like. Great for Etsy sellers to mark their products. Great for journaling. Anyhow, just look, you'll love it!

ps -- are you reading my blog? don't forget to comment! The first person to comment on this post will receive a scrapbooking prize worth at least $10, I have to start whittling down my supply. So, comment! And sorry, but friends don't count! So, if you're a friend, tell another friend who I DON'T know and they'll win...PaperKitsch has gotta get out there.

Stampin' Up Deal of the Week

Each week in July Stampin' Up is offering a "deal of the week"; they sure started it off right! Now through July 5th you can order the ever-versatile scallop edge punch for only 10.99; that's 30% off the original $15.95 price. I've posted a pic of just ONE of the million ways you can use this punch. And remember, the punch coordinates with all other SU products and is of the highest quality -- you will not find this type of quality in the craft store, I promise. So, feeling a little "loopy"? Scallop!
Oh, and if you order through my website, shoot me an email...any orders over $50 receive a free goodie from me, your Kitschy Kitty cat. I'm feeling frisky tonight!

My Intentions, I assure you...

So, lately I've been a little bit all over the place with this blog...some personal venting, personal dreams, and of course, my crafting. But, I realized today I need to focus on my crafting for this blog and get another blog for the personal me. I'm here to run a business, however small and non-profitable it may be, and I want to make sure that you, my favorite visitors, get what you came for. PaperKitsch is for people who are into crafting, any kind, but paper crafting to a larger extent. My intention are to teach you things you never thought you could do, display my artwork, sell my Stampin Up items (hey, have you checked my store? Just click the link on the side of the page), and just talk about everything crafty.

So, from now on, no more rants and raves unless it's about how I'm broke and can't afford something from my favorite site, Bad Girls. ;-)

In the next weeks and months, this site will be evolving into quite a place to come and play. I will be adding demo videos, items for sale, classes for sale, pictures of crafts and craft ideas, etc...I'm really excited about this new adventure and hope you are too. Be patient; I busted my knee and it's been hard to create lately, I'm going nuts. But as soon as I can sit at my table, I have 22 cards to make immediately that have already been ordered. So, there's stuff in the pipeline. I can't wait to share it with ya'll...let's get kitschy!
